SAME 7 QUESTIONS: Brad Hebebrand

ATtoG asks the same questions to inspirational, influential or just cool people... usually all three. It's not a bio or a book report, just questions and answers. To learn more about the people, click on their link at the bottom of the segment. Click "More of this.." below the pic for the good stuff.

Greaser or Soc:
Hmm. I have a little bit of both in me, I reckon. But if I were thrown into picking a side and joining forces, I'd definitely join the Greasers. Deep down, I think I'm a Greaser. I like to get my hands dirty.

Your first car:
In high school, my parents bought me a black Ford Escort LX. The LX is for LuXury.

If I did it over, I would...
have learned carpentry or automotive mechanics. I would have probably kept the same path I'm on now (jobwise) but it would be nice to have the skills to make a bedside table or fix anything on my motorcycle whenever need be.

Name three people who have influenced your (life)style:
My friend Chris Cunningham from Louisville. His appreciation of all things vintage, Americana and classic really opened my eyes to that world. His knowledge of motorcycles, carpentry, and Jeeps is pretty amazing. I aspire to be as knowledgeable as him in those areas.

My friend Jim F from Pasadena opened my eyes to the world of quality home furnishings (from chairs to wine glasses to appliances to home decorating). I used to house-sit for the guy about 10 years ago and would just be in awe of all the amazing furniture he had. I learned that it's better to buy classic things that may cost an arm and leg now, but they'd be things I'd have forever.

Lastly, I would have to say that my mother has influenced my lifestyle the most. I've been called a neat-freak and a perfectionist. I can only assume that this all came from my mothers influence on me. I have no problems with any of that though. Attention to detail is something to be proud of.

She also taught me to be on time. I've always considered it to be very rude to be late to something. If you're meeting your friends somewhere, be courteous enough to show up on time. It's the respectful thing to do.

It was better...
When people helped each other and were more courteous in day to day life.

Favorite Possession:
Vintage 1970s Rolex and my Kapital jeans (front/back). I wear both practically everyday. My dark brown leather Il Bisonte bag is pretty spectacular as well.

The last time I...
drank Pappy Van Winkle's Family Reserve, I drank it neat. I'm not expert in bourbons (despite the 20 bottles in my bar), but the quality of this bourbon was undeniable. So perfectly smooth.

*Thanks to Brad for answering my questions. Check out his site. Simple. To the... and on POINT.
