EBAY DIG: Sierra Designs Backpack
My buddy, Carby, turned me onto these a while back. I haven't turned back. Don't you hate when people catch wind of cool stuff and instead of selling that "old backpack" at a garage sale to get a couple bucks, they jack the price up (to what it's actually worth) and put it on eBay? I don't wear many hats, and I certainly don't wear net-backs. That said, maybe it's time for another look. Ashton Kutcher has hung his white-trash hat (pun intended) and moved on to the fedora. And although Ed Hardy still makes them, they put so much glitter and glamour on them, they're barely recognizable. I'm not going to sit idly by and allow the blasphemous resurrection of Von Dutch be the death of an icon. The official headgear of racetracks and dry lakes across the country will not be the butt of a joke. At least the Real McCoys feel the same as I do and carry the torch.
Yeah, Britney Spears wore them. But you know what... so did my Dad.

Back In The Day...
There is something so nostalgic about BMX bikes. Although I still ride them, and maybe this is why, they just remind me of being a kid. I used to spend every waking moment on my bike, a Mongoose. I remember flipping it over, resting it on its seat and grips, and meticulously washing and cleaning every inch of it. I took better care of that thing than I do my own car these days. She was my first taste of freedom.
I found these shots while on one of my weekly reads over at DEFGRIP. You just can't look at these without smiling. Kids being kids when the most important thing was having fun. Makes me wanna go out and buy a 5th bike.
