Just a small collection of good 60-year-old furnishings. I'm not going to say I'd kill for the chair below... but maim, perhaps. Vans x Eames what?

A Mid-Century Night's Dream
Get Plaid!
Some nice plaid flannel for a warm winter from Iron Heart. Not gonna lie, don't always need those pearl buttons and cowboy cuts, but I do love me some flannels in the winter. It's what we call a Southern California coat.

To Take You Home
Nothing wrong with a love song written for a French girl you met at a Converge show, performed for a handful of people and filmed by a devoted fan. Sometimes these crappy videos are better than any professionally shot pieces. I love youtubing this "fan" footage. Although poor quality - they have more heart. Reminds me of the days of looking forward to Friday nights, not to "go out," but for the show in the Pizza parlor's basement or the local gymnasium. Like when The Get Up Kids played a Santa Barbara gym in '98 and the bass drum kept sliding on the wood, so they gave me three free shirts to cover my ears and sit against it.

Steady & Stable
A nice little peek into the world of English Stable Belts from across the pond. Might need to find some thinner ones, but no reason they couldn't creep into my closet. One of these holding up some blue jeans with a white tee... done. The B Brothers and the like do their versions, but to score a vintage original to suit your needs, or better yet, have your own dreamt up from one of the UK manufacturers, now that's done right.

Super Clean
I think we should abandon the 2nd Annual Pinewood Derby this year and go all out. Spend a few months wrenching in our garages, find a big hill and let 'em rip... BBQ and free beer still, of course. Or just pick an original Soap Box Derby winner up off eBay like these mid-century rockets below.

"Do You Know What A Duvet Is?"
"It's a blanket. Just a blanket." I've been into these Native American blankets as of late. Not so much for the prospect of utilizing their ability to keep me warm, in fact, they look less than comfortable, but for their simplistic designs and color combinations. It goes without saying that there is an intrigue and respect given to the fact that these were made by hand, one at a time. Every inch was meticulously thought out and every piece of yarn was carefully planned. That in itself is impressive enough. But, the thing that truly draws me to these is the idea that although a lack of materials and technology was present during construction, that lack coupled with skill and love created something, so one-of-a-kind, no amount of technology could replicate today.
