"How Can John Wayne Die?"

Donnie Brasco has gotten some heavy rotation lately. From Kyle Cooper's title sequence to the purple Trans Am and Carrera Targa, this film is just hitting all the right spots. I'm not one to place 70s fashion on any type of pedestal, as I usually tend to skip from the 60s straight to the 80s. However, after this film, one aspect of the disco era I will no longer overlook is the eyewear. The Ray Ban and American Optical aviators and the assortment of plastic framed and gold-trimmed sets have got me looking to eBay. I might not start rocking butterfly collars over lapels and polyester, but I will fit in from the ears up.
