Or Something Like It

Has anyone in this blog world ever heard of the LIFE Archives? Evidently it's a site devoted to entertainment icons of my youth. Rad? Sure wish they had some great b&w photos of Americana and classic US heritage. Oh well, a boy can dream.

Bahahah. You're a funny dude Nick. The few Beastie pics that are in the archives are killer. You see Jam Master Jay in the blackwatch plaid sweatsuit. Cotdamn.

I'm disappointed you aren't posting old WWII pics, and old-timey americana from Life archives like the rest of the world. There's no room for originality in the blogsphere, please get back to herd.

LOVE this post! Mr. T, Slash, The Beastie Boys....it gets no better than that. Brings back great memories.

thank god! i'm tired of bloggers lionizing a period of time when most artists, creative types, minorities, women were repressed.

Great stuff, man. Thanks for sharing - now begins the timewaste of the archives. Crazy to see the archives online because my parents bought two copies of every LIFE magazine since it relaunched in 1978, the year my sister was born.

Really enjoy this site - I think I was turned-on to it by Ryan over at the Jalopy Journal/Gear Journal.

Just thought of something, won't most of these outfits become "heritage" and "Americana" given enough time?

Just saying :)

It would appear that your youth and my youth are pretty much one and the same. Damn these shots bring back memories.
