I've been way into striped tees lately. Maybe it's my unwillingness to kiss summer goodbye or perhaps my ever-growing boredom with plain white tees. Whatever it is, through all my internet surfing, I've decided that nobody does it as well as Hang Ten did it. There are a bunch of striped knits out there, but none of them quite hit the mark. They either look too safe and boring (tonal stripes) or they look too contrived (horrible 80's nouveau-retro... as in some ridiculous version of vintage inspired tees based on some imaginary world where we all wore hot pink, purple, orange and green stripes). When it comes down to it, the muted, washed-out colors these old gems display are the way to roll. It may be Fall, but these vintage Hang Tens have got me thinking about my go-tos for Summer '10. Color and pattern in a "throwback" basic without looking like you raided LMFAO's closet.
