FILM WATCH: Rendezvous

About 10 years ago my buddy and I were talking cars and movies in class. He told me about a short film called "Rendezvous", and then my life changed. I had to track a copy down through a UK distributor. The story goes a little something like this: In August 1976, French director, Claude Lelouch strapped a camera to a Mercedes Benz and ripped through the streets of Paris at 5:30am without any support. Swerving through traffic, avoiding cars, people and pigeons all at about 100mph. It absolutely puts to shame any car chase from any movie. The idea that this guy did it for real with no road closures or safety precautions makes it tougher than even Ronin or.... gasp...Bullitt. The film was over dubbed with a Ferrari 250GTB to add to the drama, other than that, the film is all for real. "It is so choice. If you have the means, I highly recommend picking one up."
