James Dean's OTHER Porsche

We all know the Silver 550 he was driving when Turnupseed pulled in front of him, but check the piece of work he drove before the infamous 'Lil Bastard'. In March 1955, he picked up this '55 356 1500cc Super Speedster. White. Perfect. He gave it a few numbers, but never a name. Story goes, he traded it for the Spyder while on the set of 'Giant'. What a great whip. The PSA, filmed on the set of 'Giant', is a bit haunting. The script supposedly read "... the life you save might be your own", without telling anyone, Dean changed it to "...might be mine".
