AMERICAN ICON: Jeepster

The original Willys Overland Jeepster was produced between 1948 and 1950. In 1966 Jeep revived the model and produced it until 1973. Willys thought that after the War, nobody but farmers would want Jeeps, so they came up with a rear-wheel drive model... the Jeepster. Hoping to nail a crossover market, kinda like the soccer moms in Escalades now, they failed and the Jeepster was a flop for the most part. I still love em. The later model Commandos are still some of the coolest cars out there. The HURST edition with the red and blue stripes is dead on.
