I can't lie, I have had mixed feelings about photo blogs in the past. You know, the tumblr sites that collect other photos from other tumblr sites? Then I realized it takes time to sift through all the crap on the internet to find a few pictures, that when displayed in one place, is a visual representation of the curator. What, I'm supposed to feel as if ATG is any different just because I write a few poorly formed sentences about the random crap I post about? No, it all takes time and love, and we all have those few sites we can count on to show us new things every morning.
Johan + Francoise and Endless Me have put together two of my current top morning reads. A few of the "fashiony" pics miss the mark a little with me, but to each his own. Both drastically different, and both not only showcasing the standards, but also showing me things I didn't even know I liked. That's when you know it's good. I could have grabbed a bunch of pictures from these sites and put them up here to give you a taste before you click... but I hate when people just take photos from other blogs and post them... c'mon... that was a joke.

Add One More To The List
The MGB GT Sebring doesn't pretend to be something it's not, it just is... a car built for purpose. With a body designed by Pininfarina, the boxy GT stands out as it slips by unnoticed. As understated as it is extraordinary, this coupe has quickly moved up my ever-changing list of must haves when I'm rich. I'm not going to lie, this car has got me revisiting the Ford Pinto. With a couple minor body adjustments, you'd almost be close. No? Okay. But dropping a V8 in a Pinto may be more affordable. Ahhh, the American way -- shoving as much engine into a car never intended to have that much engine.

I Leica A Lot
Vintage cameras seem to be the go-to nicknack to adorn shelves and coffee tables all around the globe. I would call it a cliche if they weren't so damn good to look at. Leica has been producing cameras for the better part of a century, so they have a few models available for display on said shelves. I don't shoot on film, and I don't have any vintage Leicas on my table, therefore I have zero need for any of these (that and some of them fetch as much as $25,000 at auction). However, I can drool with the best of them when it comes to beautiful little machines capable of time travel.

Well how about a good ol fashioned art show? Wow, sorry, didn't mean for that to rhyme, just comes out from time to time. There I go again, it doesn't seem to end. Enough of this mess, I digress, back to the topic at hand -- the party which has been planned..... I feel dirty now. Seriously though...
Our dear friends over at Day 19 have put together one of the most impressive line-ups of artists and have opened their doors to THIS -- a gallery started to showcase their friends, individuals who inspire them, and just good people. With nearly 100 artists, any excuse of it "not being your thing" goes right out the window. I guarantee you'll find something you like... and if you don't, you can take a hike. Come get arty, roll to the party. We'll all be there. I'm done... I swear.

Just Keep Passin' Me By
I'm not going to lie, every now and again I run across something so good, that for a brief second I secretly wish nobody else has seen it so I can to rip the idea off and pass it off as my own. I know, a horrible thing to admit, but I've never actually done it. It's like when you get that fleeting glimpse of a parallel universe after your boss pisses you off, when you jump across the desk, grab him by the tie, feed it into the shredder and smile at your victory, only to snap back to reality with your boss standing before you, unscathed... no? Anybody? Am I alone here? Whatever.
Someone had left a link to this in the comments a while back (if you are the guilty party, please take credit below), and I had forgotten about it until my buddy, Rob sent me an email yesterday. Yep, Andrew Bush is responsible for one of those ideas, and there's a book too. Go buy it, and get that feeling I was speaking of. It's just flat-out good.
