Paper Cut

One of the most simple and most brilliant projects I've seen in a while. Artist, Olly Moss shows us pop-culture through the filter of an age old technique. I'm jealous that you all get to experience the site for the first time, there's enough there to keep you occupied, recalling 80's pop-films for a good 20 minutes.

Godspeed, My Friend. Godspeed

I had the absolute honor of shooting an edition of Godspeed magazine a few months back, and I can finally say the issue is now available for order. I've been a fan of Godspeed for a minute now, so when I was asked to shoot Jason Webber of ATR, I literally jumped at the chance. Exposed welds to penis pumps, Jason is one of the most colorful motorcycle builders I've had the pleasure of meeting. He's one of those guys you bring camping just so you won't have to worry about telling good stories around the fire... he'll take care of those.

Below are a few of my favorite shots, but the rest can be seen in issue #24. So... support me, support Jason Webber, and support Godspeed, an independent magazine printing editions one at a time.

Grocery Shopping

I was at one of my new favorite shopping spots, General Quarters, the other day when I felt pure, silky smooth butter. Yep. And by butter, I mean organic, domestically-grown cotton spun into perfectly washed and fitting tees by Groceries Apparel. I bought 4. Based in LA, Groceries is making some of the finest fitting, feeling, and most economically sensible tees on the market. You can lather yourself in your very own butter for around 35 bucks. Not bad for all the effort and R&D that has gone into making the company totally and completely "green." Made in Los Angeles. Made right.

En Route

I decided to keep the stories to myself and leave the rest of the pictures for the book.

Putting The Dodger Back In Brooklyn

Headed to NYC for a few days before a week-long road trip back to LA. Should be a much needed re-charge after a few crazy weeks. I'm hoping to have more stories to share than photos, but I'll settle on the latter. I would say to recommend any good things to do, see or eat in the comments section... but I don't allow them anymore. What an ASSHOLE! So, email me instead. Or you can always keep up with what I'm smelling, seeing, eating or generally thinking on twitter. Get at me!

Plastique

Persol should start sponsoring this site... seriously. I can't help it, call it brand loyalty, but they can do no wrong as far as I'm concerned and the new 2958s are no exception. Not only do they take care of the classic shades of tortoise and black, but they throw in a little blonde and two-tones just to keep themselves relevant and us guessing. The styling is similar to my favorite model of Ps, the 2813s, but with a keyhole and brow accent -- I don't hate.
