Half Is Better Than None

There's a vintage furniture shop on Melrose I always see late at night when going to one of my favorite noodle joints. Seeing as how it's always late, the shop's gates are always lowered and the lights are out, but I always stop to look in and see what mid-century amazingness I can spot from the sidewalk.

Well, the other day I finally remembered about it during business hours and ran over there -- I wasn't sorry I did... kinda. Turns out the shop is as expensive as it is amazing. Evidently you have to pay a premium for exemplary pieces of Scandinavian mid-century furniture in LA... whodda thunk? Regardless of the price, stop into Galerie Half and drool on their museum quality pieces next time you're in LA.
